About the Class
Sew Liberated Chanterelle Pants Workshop The Chanterelle Pants by Sew Liberated are a relaxed, stylish trouser with a comfortable elasticated waist and a choice of leg shapes — wide, barrel, or shorts. They’re the perfect everyday trousers and a brilliant next step for anyone ready to build confidence sewing garments. In this one-day workshop, we’ll focus on the core construction techniques needed to sew your Chanterelle Pants. You’ll be guided through assembling the trousers step by step, learning professional sewing methods along the way. To make the most of your sewing time, we recommend cutting out your fabric pieces before the class, if you need guidance with this just let us know. This can be done in class if you prefer, just bear in mind that it will reduce your sewing time. We’ll do our best to help you get your trousers completed on the day, but please remember that everyone learns and sews at a different pace. You may need to finish your trousers at home - however, you’ll leave with the confidence and knowledge to do so successfully. Techniques you’ll learn: Understanding the pattern layout and preparing your project Constructing inset or patch pockets Sewing pleats or cuffs (depending on your chosen style) Making and inserting an elasticated waistband Assembling the trousers neatly with accurate seams and good pressing habits Finishing seams using an overlocker or alternative methods Hemming and final finishing to complete your trousers This workshop is ideal for confident beginners and improvers who have sewn a few garments before and want to learn how to make a pair of handmade trousers they’ll reach for again and again. 🧵 What to Bring The Chanterelle Pants pattern by Sew Liberated (PDF or printed version) Elastic — 2.5–3 cm wide waistband elastic (length as per pattern) Thread to match your fabric Basic sewing kit – fabric scissors, pins or clips, tape measure, unpicker, fabric marker, and hand-sewing needle Machines, overlockers, irons, and other tools are provided in the studio. 💛 Optional Fabric Kit Add-On Coming Soon Save time choosing and preparing fabric by adding a Chanterelle Pants Fabric Kit at checkout (coming soon). Cancellation Policy
By booking a course or workshop with Ready Steady Sew, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in this cancellation policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to booking. Please head to the Cancellation Policy header in the menu tab to view our full policy. Cancellation Due to Non-Attendance We understand that sometimes circumstances change, but we ask for your cooperation with our cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made at least 14 working days before the course start date to receive a full refund. 14 days or less notice: 50% of the course fee will be refunded. 7 days or less before the course start date: 100% of the course fee will be charged Non-attendance without prior notice will result in no refund. To cancel your place, please email us at readysteadysew@hotmail.com as soon as possible. All cancellations must be received in writing via email. Refunds will be processed the same day that you request it. However, please note that the processing time is dependent on Wix Payments (our payment provider) and your bank. We have no control over how long it takes for the funds to appear in your account, but it can take up to 20 business days in total, depending on your bank's processing times. No Refunds for Partially Attended Courses There will be no refunds for partially attended courses. If you decide that the course is not for you after attending part of it, you will not be eligible for a refund. We encourage you to make sure the course is right for you before booking. Transfers to Future Classes If you need to transfer to a future class, you must notify us at least 14 working days before the class start date. Unfortunately, we cannot accept transfer requests within 14 days of the class start date. We are unable to transfer bookings after this time frame as it's not long enough for us to refill your spot, and it takes a spot away from a future student. As a small business, we rely on full classes to remain sustainable, and offering transfers to everyone who requests them would result in under-booked classes. We encourage you to ensure you're available for the dates of the course you book. Once a spot is reserved, it is committed to you, and we cannot accommodate changes to future sessions regardless of the reason.
