Now that you’ve found the skill level that matches your experience, you’re all set to choose the right course for you. Whether you're just getting started or want to push your skills to the next level, we have a course to help you grow as a sewist.

Pin Pusher (Absolute Beginner)

For those just starting their sewing adventure!
You’ve never sewn before or have limited experience. You may have learnt to sew at school but this was many years ago. This level is all about getting comfortable with the basics—setting up your machine, understanding how to thread it, and sewing simple stitches. You’ll begin to familiarize yourself with fabric and tools, setting the foundation for all your future sewing projects.

2

Stitch Starter (Beginner)

For those who know the basics and want to sew with more confidence.
You’ve made a few simple projects and are ready to take your skills up a notch. You’ll start creating basic garments and want to learn key techniques. It’s time to get more comfortable with your machine and begin following patterns.

3

Fabric Fanatic (Confident Beginner)

For those who have mastered the basics and are ready to tackle more intricate projects.
You’re no longer a beginner—you know your way around a sewing machine and feel confident using a simple commercial pattern on your own! At this level, you’ll learn how to make more complex garments with added features. You’re ready to refine your sewing techniques and get creative with your projects. You've completed all 3 levels of our beginners dressmaking course or made a few garments on your own.

4

Seamstress in training (Intermediate)

For those who can sew but want to take their skills to a much higher level. Must have at least 5 projects under their belt.
You’re comfortable with your sewing machine and confident in your garment construction, but now you’re ready for more challenging projects. At this level, you'll dive into pattern alteration, learning how to fit commercial patterns to your body shape and make adjustments like waist and bust changes. You’ll also begin exploring pattern drafting, so you can create your own designs. This level is all about perfecting fit and learning the skills to customize patterns, as well as fine-tuning your sewing technique.
