CANCELLATION POLICY
What you will learn
At Ready Steady Sew, we strive to create the best experience for all participants while ensuring fairness and efficiency for our small business. Please read the following cancellation terms carefully.

Booking Terms
By booking a course or workshop with Ready Steady Sew, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in this cancellation policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to booking.

Cancellation Due to Non-Attendance
We understand that sometimes circumstances change, but we ask for your cooperation with our cancellation policy:

-
Cancellations must be made at least 14 working days before the course start date to receive a full refund.
-
14 days or less notice: 50% of the course fee will be refunded.
-
7 days or less before the course start date: 100% of the course fee will be charged.

Non-attendance without prior notice will result in no refund.

To cancel your place, please email us at readysteadysew@hotmail.com as soon as possible. All cancellations must be received in writing via email.

Refunds will be processed the same day that you request it. However, please note that the processing time is dependent on Wix Payments (our payment provider) and your bank. We have no control over how long it takes for the funds to appear in your account, but it can take up to 20 business days in total, depending on your bank's processing times.

No Refunds for Partially Attended Courses
There will be no refunds for partially attended courses. If you decide that the course is not for you after attending part of it, you will not be eligible for a refund. We encourage you to make sure the course is right for you before booking.

Transfers to Future Classes
If you need to transfer to a future class, you must notify us at least 14 working days before the class start date. Unfortunately, we cannot accept transfer requests within 14 days of the class start date.

We are unable to transfer bookings after this time frame as it's not long enough for us to refill your spot, and it takes a spot away from a future student. As a small business, we rely on full classes to remain sustainable, and offering transfers to everyone who requests them would result in under-booked classes. We encourage you to ensure you're available for the dates of the course you book. Once a spot is reserved, it is committed to you, and we cannot accommodate changes to future sessions regardless of the reason.

Transfers are subject to availability, and all requests must be made in writing via email.

Machinery and Equipment
Ready Steady Sew is not liable for missed sessions due to faulty equipment, including sewing machines. We recommend checking that your machine is in good working order before the course begins, and we suggest getting it serviced ahead of time to avoid any issues during the course.

However, we have machines available to borrow upon request if you'd like to use one during your class. Please let us know in advance so we can ensure availability.

Late Arrival or Early Departure
Please arrive on time for your class. Important information is shared at the beginning of each session, and late arrivals may miss out on crucial content. While our tutor will do their best to help you catch up, please note that due to the nature of the class, this may be difficult.

Lateness can also disrupt the flow of the class, particularly if there is a class on in our downstairs classroom, so please be considerate of others. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start of the class to set up your work station and make a hot drink. Please avoid arriving more than 15 minutes early, as we may be teaching another class or our tutors may be on their break.

Force Majeure
Ready Steady Sew will not be held responsible for cancellations or rescheduling due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government regulations. Affected participants will be offered the option to reschedule their course.

Course Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to:
-
Amend or cancel courses
-
Change the course location (though this is unlikely)
-
Modify the course structure or content
In the event of a course cancellation, participants will receive at least one week's notice. You’ll have the option to either transfer to the next available course or receive a full refund. Please note, Ready Steady Sew is not liable for any losses (including fabric, notions, or travel/accommodation costs) resulting from course cancellations.
