Founded by Rosie, an experienced and passionate sewist, our woman-owned sewing school is built on the belief that sewing is more than just a skill—it’s a way to reconnect with yourself and others.

Rosie has been sewing for over 20 years, developing her craft through a deep love of fashion and design. After studying Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion and interning at Vogue Magazine, her passion only grew. In 2021, in response to the pandemic’s isolating challenges, she founded Ready Steady Sew with a clear mission: to bring people back together through creativity and connection. It became a space where people could learn to sew, build confidence, and make meaningful connections in a welcoming setting.

From the beginning, our goal has been to provide the best sewing classes for all levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, our friendly and professional sewing lessons in Wrexham and Shropshire give you the perfect opportunity to switch off from the everyday and enjoy time just for you.
Since opening our doors, Ready Steady Sew has grown rapidly. We began with just one Beginner Dressmaking class taught in village halls and now offer a wide range of sewing courses, from absolute beginners to advanced dressmaking classes. Our beautiful permanent studio, opened in September 2024, is now home to popular workshops in crochet, dressmaking, overlocker skills, embroidery and mending, and more with new classes being added continually. There’s something for everyone—whether you're a hobbyist or working towards a professional skill level.
