About the Class
Our Social Sewing Days are relaxed, friendly sessions designed for anyone who loves making. Bring your own project, settle in, and enjoy a full day of sewing, conversation and creative company. For just £7.50 per hour, you’re not simply booking time at a table. You’re gaining access to our fully equipped sewing studio, generous workspace, professional machines, and a welcoming community of like-minded makers. It really is exceptional value for a full day away from the kitchen table. More than just a sewing session, these days are about more than finishing a project. They’re about: • Dedicated, uninterrupted making time • Proper cutting space • Using equipment you may not have at home • Sharing ideas and getting a second opinion • Building friendships with people who understand your hobby Many people sew alone at home. Social Sewing gives you the space, the equipment and the company that make it easier, more enjoyable and far more productive. Studio Access Included During the session you’ll have use of: • Large stand-up cutting tables • Sewing machines and overlockers • A coverstitch machine • An electric bias binder machine • Pressing stations • Spacious work tables • On hand haberdashery & fabric shop for any missing or forgotten bits • Tea and coffee throughout the day If you’ve been avoiding a project because you don’t have the room to cut it out properly, this is your chance to spread out and get it done. How It Works This is a bring-your-own-project session. You can work on dressmaking, quilting, embroidery, knitting, crochet or other textile-based crafts. There is no fixed project or structured teaching. You’ll need to be confident working independently, but a tutor is on hand if you get stuck or need a second opinion. Whether you’re looking to make real progress on a bigger project or simply want a day of sewing in good company, Social Sewing is a welcoming and supportive space to do exactly that. Cancellation Policy
By booking a course or workshop with Ready Steady Sew, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in this cancellation policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to booking. Please head to the Cancellation Policy header in the menu tab to view our full policy. Cancellation Due to Non-Attendance We understand that sometimes circumstances change, but we ask for your cooperation with our cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made at least 14 working days before the course start date to receive a full refund. 14 days or less notice: 50% of the course fee will be refunded. 7 days or less before the course start date: 100% of the course fee will be charged Non-attendance without prior notice will result in no refund. To cancel your place, please email us at readysteadysew@hotmail.com as soon as possible. All cancellations must be received in writing via email. Refunds will be processed the same day that you request it. However, please note that the processing time is dependent on Wix Payments (our payment provider) and your bank. We have no control over how long it takes for the funds to appear in your account, but it can take up to 20 business days in total, depending on your bank's processing times. No Refunds for Partially Attended Courses There will be no refunds for partially attended courses. If you decide that the course is not for you after attending part of it, you will not be eligible for a refund. We encourage you to make sure the course is right for you before booking. Transfers to Future Classes If you need to transfer to a future class, you must notify us at least 14 working days before the class start date. Unfortunately, we cannot accept transfer requests within 14 days of the class start date. We are unable to transfer bookings after this time frame as it's not long enough for us to refill your spot, and it takes a spot away from a future student. As a small business, we rely on full classes to remain sustainable, and offering transfers to everyone who requests them would result in under-booked classes. We encourage you to ensure you're available for the dates of the course you book. Once a spot is reserved, it is committed to you, and we cannot accommodate changes to future sessions regardless of the reason.
