About the Class
If you saw all the gorgeous quilted jackets being made last year and wished you had one then this 1 day workshop will be perfect for you. Creating your own quilted jacket is an exciting project that blends fashion with function. Whether you're looking for a stylish, warm addition to your wardrobe or simply enjoy the art of sewing, this project is a great way to learn new skills. We will be working with the Flora Jacket & Vest Pattern which has lots of different options. You'll learn the basics of quilting fabric (we won't be doing any patchwork, although you are welcome to do this at home and bring it to quilt), along with how to construct a jacket, attaching bias binding, collars and plackets. The Flora Jacket and Vest is a boxy, slightly oversized quilted outerwear piece that will become a staple in your wardrobe. With 3 pocket styles, 2 different lengths and two hem styles to choose from, the Flora has so many options! As with all our sewing workshops you may not complete your project in the allotted time (this is ok, we all sew at different speeds!) but you will have the skills and confidence to complete your project at home. What you'll need: Sewing kit (thread, pins, un-picker, fabric scissors) Your pattern and fabric, wadding, any other notions the pattern requires Our studio is fully kitted out with modern Janome sewing machines and overlockers for you to use As with all our sewing workshops and classes you may or may not finish your garment on the day but you'll be armed with the tools to finish at home. Everyone sews at different speeds and that's totally ok! Skill Level: Fabric Fanatic (Confident Beginner)

Cancellation Policy
By booking a course or workshop with Ready Steady Sew, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in this cancellation policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to booking. Please head to the Cancellation Policy header in the menu tab to view our full policy. Cancellation Due to Non-Attendance We understand that sometimes circumstances change, but we ask for your cooperation with our cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made at least 14 working days before the course start date to receive a full refund. 14 days or less notice: 50% of the course fee will be refunded. 7 days or less before the course start date: 100% of the course fee will be charged Non-attendance without prior notice will result in no refund. To cancel your place, please email us at readysteadysew@hotmail.com as soon as possible. All cancellations must be received in writing via email. Refunds will be processed the same day that you request it. However, please note that the processing time is dependent on Wix Payments (our payment provider) and your bank. We have no control over how long it takes for the funds to appear in your account, but it can take up to 20 business days in total, depending on your bank's processing times. No Refunds for Partially Attended Courses There will be no refunds for partially attended courses. If you decide that the course is not for you after attending part of it, you will not be eligible for a refund. We encourage you to make sure the course is right for you before booking. Transfers to Future Classes If you need to transfer to a future class, you must notify us at least 14 working days before the class start date. Unfortunately, we cannot accept transfer requests within 14 days of the class start date. We are unable to transfer bookings after this time frame as it's not long enough for us to refill your spot, and it takes a spot away from a future student. As a small business, we rely on full classes to remain sustainable, and offering transfers to everyone who requests them would result in under-booked classes. We encourage you to ensure you're available for the dates of the course you book. Once a spot is reserved, it is committed to you, and we cannot accommodate changes to future sessions regardless of the reason.
